Sunday 28th March 1982:  Ghoropani (3 miles)
I awoke with a rumbling stomach after a bad night’s sleep.  I ate a little for breakfast and had no bad reaction to it.  I wandered around the clearing still feeling weak.  It was good for raptors including an Upland Buzzard - my second new bird in 2 days.  I returned to the lodge at 14:00 and spent the rest of the day slowly eating to build up my strength.  I had to get up to visit the toilet at midnight for third night running.  I wish now that I'd brought a torch as trying to navigate one's way to the lodge door and then unlock it by candle light is not easy.
