We had a very enjoyable week staying in a flat in Alnwick, Northumberland in July 2009. We used Alnwick as a base to visit several houses in Northumberland, had trips to the Farnes and Coquet Islands while I had a couple of mornings looking for Dippers on mountain rivers. We came home via Hadrian's Wall (and various diversions on the M1). |
