Friday 2 September. Megan and I walked from Crowlink along some of the Seven Sisters to Birling and Belle Tout. A very pleasant walk in a moderate SW wind but even taking that into account surprisingly few migrants were seen. In a 3.5 hour round trip we saw just 3 Swallows, 4 Whinchats, 16 Stonechats, 2 Wheatears, single Whitethroat and Willow Warbler, 4 Ravens and a Clouded Yellow. Later at low tide 19 Dunlin and at least 45 Ringed Plover on the Adur.
