Friday 12 June. I've really been enjoying the local Red-footed Falcon along the Monarch's Way SE of Beeding Hill and couldn't resist another look this morning. I was there for about three hours and for most of the time it was performing brilliantly, sat on fence posts from which it dropped into the sheep field or flying around with some prolonged periods of hovering. For most of the time it was much closer than previously, within 100m of me, and often very photogenic. During its three day stay I've taken over 4000 photos of it and spent long evenings processing them. Also on Beeding Hill were 4 Swifts, a Cuckoo (presumably the same one seen yesterday and the day before), 6 Sky Larks and a Corn Bunting. Also a few familiar faces. In the evening 5 Swifts were seen over the garden. The following photos are shown in the order in which they were taken.
