Monday 29th March 1982:  Ghoropani (6 miles)
I didn’t sleep well but woke feeling much better, almost back to normal in fact.  I climbed up Poon Hill (10,500 ft) but it was cloudy. I then went down to the river on the other side and into the woods where I saw a fair few birds.  I returned at lunch time and spent the afternoon on the clearing ‘trail’ in the afternoon where I saw 6 Juniper Finches.  Very spring like today. The fragrance of the Daphnes in the forest is one of the nicest I’ve known and I find myself constantly sniffing them!  Dave was ill again today having seemed OK yesterday.  James Wolstencroft was in the lodge when I got back. Excellent to chat at length.
